Peoples Living with HIV/AIDS

PLWHA A middle age, average height Bangladeshi women got married with a person few years back. That time her husband was working outside Bangladesh and she went out there. Their return was unexpected to the family. They have two kids by that time and both of them are girls.

Her husband started showing sevior illness frequently. And finally he has been identified as a HIV+. Not only that his wife has also got the infection from him along with her two kinds. These are facts of first personal I have met to continue my photography documentary named “+PLWHA”. My target is to present those peoples who are still leading usual daily life like us. And their amazing enthusiasm which is the key for their living. This is a parallel world existing beside us. We never tried to find that. Though we know there are many hundreds of peoples of Bangladesh are living with HIV. The increment rate is much higher than the death rate so every year there is a good number of increment. According to national statistic almost 1207 peoples are found HIV positive. But before that it was 333 shorter. These numbers are not representing the actual scenario. These numbers includes only those who has disclosed their identity as a positive person and taking care from respective NGOs or rehabilitation centers. It is said, around 7-10 peoples are identified as positive during their pathological blood test for different purpose. But most of the cases this group doesn’t like to disclose their identity, only 2% of them willingly want to take triment but the rest of the others are restraining and staying outside the statistics. This The increment ratio is up rising fast. So where these peoples are going? It’s a common question.
